Carley Beck founded Underground Games and is co-founder and COO of ThreadTap. She created SuperModelGamer, co-authored Women in the Web3 Space: Inclusive Futures and is a recurring Science Summit speaker and moderator during the United Nations General Assembly.
Carley Beck makes games and builds technology products. She leads Underground Games, the independent Miami studio behind Coloring.ug, Jigsaw.ug, Mahjong.ug and Arrows.ug, and is co-founder and COO of ThreadTap, which connects physical merchandise to identity, access and rewards. Before either company, she spent nearly two decades in fashion and created SuperModelGamer, a Twitch channel and gaming community. Carley co-authored Women in the Web3 Space: Inclusive Futures, serves on the Women of Web3 board and created its forthcoming Opportunity Hub. Her Science Summit work during the United Nations General Assembly began as a panelist at UNGA78; she moderated at UNGA80 and is confirmed to return as moderator at UNGA81 on September 18, 2026.
Carley Beck is a game developer, company operator, writer, speaker and former international fashion model.
She spent two decades as an international fashion model — published in Vogue, Elle, Vice, NY Mag, the New York Times, WWD and Vogue Business — before building a public identity around games and technology as SuperModelGamer.
SuperModelGamer began in 2020 as a Twitch channel and grew into a gaming community, a Discord server and a body of technology and culture commentary. It also made the through-line in her work easier to see: she is interested in how an audience becomes a community, and how the design around an object or experience changes what people do with it.
Today she leads Underground Games, an independent studio in Miami. Its four properties are Coloring.ug, a daily paint-by-number game; Jigsaw.ug, a collaborative jigsaw library; Mahjong.ug, a Hong Kong Old Style mahjong game in development; and Arrows.ug, an original logic puzzle in development. Each is built as its own visual world rather than a new skin on the same system.
Carley is co-founder and COO of ThreadTap, which connects merchandise and collectibles to digital identity, access, rewards, storytelling and community through a tap. PinTap, jointly owned by ThreadTap and PCB Productions, applies that model to collectible pins. Its first featured activation, Year of the Devil, added content, achievements and live-event experiences to an official physical collectible.
Her public work focuses on how technology reaches people: who gets access, who gets heard and what happens after a new tool leaves its early-adopter circle. She joined the UNGA78 Science Summit as a panelist in 2023, moderated a Women of Web3 session at UNGA80 in 2025 and is confirmed to return as a moderator at UNGA81 on September 18, 2026. She is a Women of Web3 board member and co-authored Women in the Web3 Space: Inclusive Futures, a seven-author book that grew from the UNGA78 cohort and supports STEM scholarships for girls.
Alongside the companies, Carley writes about technology, media and gaming through Science Media Gaming. For Women of Web3, she created the forthcoming Opportunity Hub: a searchable platform for jobs, grants and funding calls.
