Carley Beck

Carley Beck is the founder of Underground Games and co-founder of ThreadTap. Her work spans games, connected products, writing, public speaking and fashion.

Carley Beck — editorial portrait

Carley worked in fashion for nearly two decades before launching SuperModelGamer in 2020. The Twitch channel brought her work in games into public view and developed into an active community and a broader media platform.

Today she leads Underground Games, an independent studio in Miami, and serves as co-founder and COO of ThreadTap, which connects physical merchandise and collectibles to digital experiences. Her Science Summit work around the United Nations General Assembly began as a panelist at UNGA78; she returned as moderator at UNGA80 and is confirmed to moderate again at UNGA81 on September 18, 2026.

Before any of that she coordinated production for Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys and Cindy Crawford, wrote and copy-edited for Icon, Suited and Var, and for Steven Sebring and Patti Smith. She advises Modern Mirror on brand strategy and business development, and negotiated the rights to her own 3D digital-twin assets — the part of the work she is most pointed about, because owning your own likeness is not a given.

Across these projects, her role is practical: develop the product, shape the presentation and make the experience clear to the people using it.

Ten years of outreach work — Bloomingdale's Runway Warriors, A Free Bird pediatric cancer charity, NBCF, Games to Grunts and 76 Operators.
